Support for healing & change.

Therapy for trauma, PTSD, addiction recovery, & life’s difficult seasons.

A Grounded Place to Begin

Are you living with the lasting effects of trauma or PTSD? Are you struggling with addiction, recovery, or chronic relapse? Have you been carrying too much on your own and reached a point where you’re ready for support? If so, you’re in the right place. Taking this step can be hard, and I’m glad you’re here.
Together, we can work to better understand what’s keeping you stuck and build practical, lasting strategies for healing and change. My goal is to offer a space that feels supportive, direct, and grounded—so you can move toward a more stable, meaningful, and connected life.

Meet Charlie Young

Hi there — I'm so glad you're here. I'm a native Austinite with a creative side and a research background, and outside of work I make time for family and a house full of animals.

I'm a Texas Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor and Texas Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor, a Minnesota Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor, and I also hold telehealth licenses in Vermont and Florida. I earned my Ph.D. from Rutgers University in Health Sciences, with a concentration in Psychiatric Rehabilitation, and my Master's in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Lamar University.

I offer individual counseling for trauma, addiction and relapse prevention/proneness, anxiety, depression, and relationship issues.

Right now, I'm seeing clients online, and I'm happy to work with co-pays, EAPs, and most insurance plans. Walk-and-talk appointments are available too, and in-person sessions will open up later in 2026.

If you're interested in LPC-Associate supervision in Texas or have a research opportunity or question, feel free to reach out — I'd love to hear from you.
